Another reason I love facebook is the targetting. Because everyone on facebook has a profile, they have a ton of data on their users. You can target by age, gender, marital status, etc. And you can also target them further using relevant keywords.

Besides newspapers, another easy spot to look at is magazines. Print out a list of the top 20 offers on an affiliate network you are a member of and head on over to Barnes & Noble’s or Borders. Walk through the magazine section and see if you can match the offers to the magazines. Call up each magazine you find and find out what their rates are.  Be bold and negotiate. Tell them that you want to do a small test but if it works out then you’ll be doing a lot more advertising with them.  That usually loosens them up.
